Kimbolton Prep School Topping Out

On 7th October 2019, Kimbolton School held a Topping Out ceremony for their new Prep School Entrance.

The new building, which will be a welcome area and resource centre, links the newly refurbished Lower Prep and Upper Prep buildings. The structure will have a zinc copper roof with glazing to both ends, providing views out to the sports fields and woodland area. It is due to open in February 2020.

The Topping Out took place on Monday afternoon and several children from different school years were appropriately dressed in PPE before being given a tour of the site.

  • The Topping Out was a great occasion to get the children involved in the project to see what we have been doing and learn how their new entrance building is being constructed. The children found it very exciting being dressed up in PPE, adventuring on-site, and climbing up the scaffolding to see the project from up high
