Split into two phases.
Infrastructure works including new drainage, HV, LV, water, gas and comms.
Houses a mixture of wet and dry laboratories and office space.
Comprises steel frame with precast concrete hollowcore flooring, a façade of rainscreen cladding and curtain walling with integrated external fins.
A ‘blue/green roof’, with solar panels, and four chimneys (flue extract) that project 6m from the top of the roof.
BREEAM 'Excellent'.
Civil Engineering Building won the CFCI ‘Best New Building over £2m’ Award and The David Mackay Award for Engineering and Sustainability.
